18th International Book Fair of Thessaloniki

The Institute of Modern Greek Studies participates in the 18th International Book Fair of Thessaloniki, to be held from November 25th to 28th, 2021, at the Helexpo Exhibition Center (Pavilion 13, stand 125).

The Institute also holds two parallel events:

On Saturday November 27th, 12.00-13.00, Pavilion 13 (Balcony)"Literary preparation of the Greek Revolution: works of prose". Speakers:

  • G. Kechagioglou, Professor Emeritus of the School of Philology, A.U.Th., and member of the Board of Directors of the Institute, and
  • A. Loudi, researcher of the Institute.

On Sunday November 28th, 18.00-19.00, Pavilion 14 (Room "Zoi Karelli"), book presentation: Kallimachos and Chrysorrhoe, and other texts of the early Modern Greek Literature. Speakers:

  • G. Kechagioglou, Professor Emeritus of the School of Philology, A.U.Th., and member of the Board of Directors of the Institute,
  • G. Polemis, Professor of Byzantine Philology, University of Athens, and
  • G. Konstantinouartist and writer.

    Engravings by G. Konstantinou will be exhibited on the event premises. After the event, medieval Cypriot songs will be played by Stavrini Konstantinou.
